Geographical Roots
Nung Ndem Clan is one of the four prominent clans in Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The other clans are Oniong, Awa Afaha, and Awa. The clan is part of the Ibibio people, who are predominantly found in Akwa Ibom State and many parts of the world.
Cultural Heritage
The Nung Ndem Clan is known for its rich cultural heritage, with traditional practices and customs that are still observed today. The Ibibio people have a strong sense of community, with a traditional system of governance led by a Paramount Ruler. This structure fosters unity and preserves the ancestral values that define our people.
Prominent Settlements
Our clan is home to several notable villages and towns that form the backbone of our community structure. These include Ikot Ndua Iman, Ikot Nkan, Mkpok, Ndon Eyo, and Okat. Each settlement contributes uniquely to the diverse tapestry of the Nung Ndem heritage.
